Oyster farming is the largest aquaculture industry in NSW
Oyster farmers play an important role in maintaining our natural estuarine resources, while producing a delicious high protein food.

Coastal development and recreational use of waterways is increasing pressure on coastal industries.

It is our obligation to protect our coastal resources for future generations, so they can enjoy the same foods and lifestyle that we share today.

The oyster farmers of Wapengo, Merimbula, Pambula and Wonboyn Lakes have collectively committed to implement an Environmental Management System (EMS) in their estuaries to ensure the protection of the environment and the sustainability of the oyster industry.
